CM focused more on tackling dissidents than development, alleges CPM

Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana on Sunday came down heavily on the State Government for not taking any steps to redress the problems being faced by the people.

Talking to media persons after garlanding the statue of constitutional architect B R Ambedkar at Tandur as part of his visit to district, Narayana said that the government has totally failed to focus its attention on solving people’s problems. He accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of spending most of his time in pacifying the dissidents and to settle the political scores with Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana.

Narayana took serious note on the Chief Minister for transferring ACB Additional Director K Sreenivas Reddy to dilute the investigations into the liquor scam and for making attempts to shield the corrupt ministers. He also criticized Kiran Kumar Reddy for not responding on the CAG Report which indicted the government over land allotments. “Instead of taking serious action against corrupt officials, the government has been resorting to transfer of outright and sincere officials who are discharging their duties efficiently,” he pointed out.
