Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday expressed grief over the frequent fire mishaps in the state due to summer heat. He asked the officials to take all precautionary measures and step up publicity campaign to prevent such fire accidents.
The Chief Minister directed the Collectors and Joint Collectors of Guntur and Khammam district to rush to the villages where major fire accidents took place. He also asked them to take up rescue and relief measures and make all efforts to help the victims of the fire mishap.
It may be mentioned that fire accidents took place in Thallapalem and Mulukudur villages of Ponnuru mandal of Guntur district and Gunduvarigudem and China Kolipaka villages of Kunavaram mandal in Khammam district on Thursday. (INN)
