CM epresses grief over death of writer

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Kirankumar Reddy today expressed grief over the death of eminent scholar and writer Samala Sadasiva, who passed away at his residence in Vidyanagar in Adilabad district last evening. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described sadasiva as a ‘bridge between Telugu and Marathi languages’ and his demise as a great loss to Telugu literature. He was an authority in Telugu, Arabic and Urdu also, the Chief Minister said. He expressed his deep condolence to the family members of Sadasiva.

A 2011 Sahitya Akademi Award winner, Sadasiva has born to Chinnamma and Nagaiah on May 11, 1928 at Tenugupalle of Dahegaon mandal in Adilabad district. The 80-year-old writer’s body was kept at his residence for the people and his admirers to pay their condolences. The funeral will take place later today. Telangana Political Joint Action Committee President Prof Kodandaram and other Telangana leaders and writers will attend the funeral. UNI
