CM for early completion of Krishna water phase-III

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the officials concerned to complete the works of Krishna Water phase-III by December next year.

Speaking to media persons after the Chief Minister’s review meeting in the Secretariat, Labour Minister Danam Nagender said that Chief Minister has accorded permission to get Rs 670-crore loan from HUDCO for Krishna Water Phase-III works, whose estimated total cost was Rs 1,670 crores. As there was delay in getting loan from Japan financial institute, it was decided to get the loan from HUDCO for the project, he added. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials concerned to start the project works immediately and maintain quality standards. He also told the officials that Hyderabad citizens should start getting Krishna Phase III water by the end of December next year.

The Chief Minister also stressed the need to supply drinking water to the people in the summer months and see that there was no scarcity of drinking water. He also directed the officials to speed up the works of capping leakages and repairing of pipelines, he ordered. (NSS)
