The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday held discussions with the PCC President Bosta Satyanarayana and six ministers, who were in-charges of the constituencies where by-elections were held recently.
The meeting, held in the C M’s camp office, has discussed the reasons for defeat of the congress in the by-elections. The ministers opined that the party has failed to reverse the publicity of YSRCP in the by-elections. The Chief Minister suggested the setting up of a committee with Ministers to take the welfare schemes and development projects of the state government to the people. The Ministers underlined the need to give wide publicity to the welfare schemes. They felt that the YSRCP was benefited in the by-elections by campaigning that all the welfare schemes being implemented by the Government belonged to late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
They said there was a need to create an impression in the public that all the welfare schemes and development projects belonged to the Congress government. The Chief Minister was, reportedly, in favor of going for local body elections as early as possible. (NSS)
