Hyderabad, February 26: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who reached Delhi today, discussed the list of probably candidates for the elections to 20 MLC seats with party seniors Ahmed Patel and Veerappa Moily.
The chief minister, after discussing the probables with PCC president D Srinivas for the last three days, left for the national capital in the evening. He prepared a list of 10 candidates for each seat and presented them before the party seniors.
Earlier in the day, Kurnool MP K Suryaprakash Reddy met the Chief Minister in his chambers at Assembly and discussed the MLC polls in his district. The MP reportedly lodged a complaint against the MLAs in the YS Jagan camp who were allegedly planning to field a candidate for the MLC election with the support of PRP MLA Shobhanagi Reddy.
He said that the Congress MLAs and the PRP leaders in the J camp were planning to defeat the Congress candidate in the elections.
He also expressed apprehension that Kadapa district MLA C Adinarayana Reddy’s brother might contest the Local Body seat. If the Congress leadership did not take action against the YS Jagan camp, the party may face an embarrassing situation all over the region, he said.
