CM directs to speed up BDL, Ibrahimpatnam unit works

Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy directed the Officials of State Government to coordinate with the Officials of Bharat Dynamics Limited, and speed up the works related to BDL Ibrahimpatnam Unit which will enable to commence production from 2014-15.

The Chief Minister reviewed the works related to BDL, Midhani and Bharat Electronics Limited proposed units in the State at a high level meeting at camp office, this afternoon. The Chief Minister laid foundation stone on 18th March, 2012 for BDL unit of Ibrahimpatnam to produce the D R D O products. Estimated cost of the project is Rs.700 crores and it will provide employment to 500 people directly and 1000 indirectly.

The Chief Minister has also directed the officials to settle all the issues relating to establishing a Research Laboratory by Midhani and BEL units. The officials of BDL, BEL and Midhani expressed their satisfaction and reiterated their commitment to complete at an early period with the cooperation of State Government.

S.N.Mantha, Chairman and MD BDL, S.V.Subba Rao, Director of BDL, N.Narayana Rao, CMD, Midhani, Jayesh Ranjan, VC and MD, APIIC, Dr K.S.Jawahar Reddy, Secretary to CM, S.S.Rawath, Special Secretary to CM and other senior officials participated in the meeting. (NSS)
