Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday directed the officials to prepare an estimate for renovation of Masjid Hayat Bakhshi Begum. Chief Minister directed the officials of state Archaeological department to calculate the expenditure required for complete renovation of Masjid Hayat Bakhshi Begum at Hayath Nagar L B Nagar area.
A delegation led by MLA B Sudheer Reddy which included Mirza Saleem Baig, Shamsheer Ali and other members met chief minister and asked him to sanction funds for Masjid Hayath Bakhshi Begum. It was promised to complete in Ramadan 2010. The delegation appealed chief minister that the Masjid’s tombs, courtyard, arches and pillars need renovation as the masjid has its appeal to tourists.
