Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed Minority Finance Corporation to immediately approve the applications of loan upto Rs. 1 lakh in the first phase. Chief Minister directed this in a review meeting with officials of Minority Welfare. He asked the corporation regarding subsidy and loan scheme. Officials informed that 1.61 lakh applications were submitted for loan scheme while the corporation had made the target to provide loan to 8200 candidates. Chief Minister told that the large number of applications submitted indicates how weak the financial condition of minorities is. He said corporation should approve applications of loan upto 1 lakh so that poor people can benefit from the scheme. He asked the corporation to evaluate the applications and prepare a list of deserving candidates. CM assured that if required he is ready to release additional funds to the corporation.
Director General Anti Corruption Bureau A K Khan said verification of applications will soon begin and application of loan upto 1 lakh will be approved on priority basis.
