CM directs high alert on swine flu cases

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today directed health services and officials concerned to put the respective medical officers on high alert to prevent any spurt in swine flu cases in the State. At a review meeting here, the Chief Minister cautioned the officials about spurt in swine flu cases.

It was mentioned that 25 cases were reported in several corporate hospitals put together and some of the patients tested positive for swine flu, an official release here said. However, the officials explained that they are regularly monitoring the matter and taking all required steps to prevent any spurt in swine flu cases. The Chief Minister directed that precautionary measures should be initiated forthwith to arrest the situation.

He asked the Secretary and top officials to constantly monitor the situation and initiate all measures required in the matter. Mdicines, testing equipment should be made available in all hospitals, the Chief Minister said and directed that all vulnerable areas should be put on high alert in the matter, the release added. UNI
