Hyderabad, October 29: The Chief Minister K Rosaiah held a review meet with officials of AP Genco and directed them to work on a comprehensive action plan to see that Andhra Pradesh becomes self-sufficient in energy by 2014.
AP Genco Projects were reviewed in the meeting.
The APGenco officials assured the Chief Minister that 2,800 MW power will be added by 2012-13 through commissioning of various projects in the State.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that the Ministry of Environment and Forests accorded Environmental clearance for the Rayalaseema Coal Based Thermal Power Project in Yerraguntla Mandal of YSR District.
