Hyderabad, September 28: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Tuesday said the state government will positively consider giving due share to eligible Muslim candidates in the 15 lakh jobs to be created in private sector over the next three years.
Under the Rajiv Education and Employment Mission, 5 lakh jobs will be filled up every year up to 2014-’15 and the government will consider constitution of a ‘sub-mission’ to ensure that Muslim community gets its share in the jobs, he said and added he could not make any announcements due to election code of conduct being in force in the capital.
The Chief Minister was addressing a gathering of Muslim intellectuals among others at a programme to release copies of research study ‘Socio-economic status of AP Muslims’.
Earlier, renowned economist Abu Saleh Shariff who conducted the study and prepared the report, gave a video presentation on the status of Muslims to the Chief Minister.
Stating that the government will make full use of the report on socio-economic status of Muslims, he assured the community that he will do everything required for the development of minorities.
“We are synchronising education and skill development as the industry needs a mixture of both the components in the candidates,” he said, and added that three more centres to train Muslim candidates will come up all over India and state level competitive exams like All India Civil Services would be set in the state in addition to the one at Hyderabad.
