Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today expressed shock at the demise of his Jammu & Kashmir counterpart Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
In a message, KCR said the death of Sayeed was a personal loss for him and recalled that Sayeed had extended support to statehood movement. “When I was trying to garner support at national level for Telangana, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was one of the leaders to extend all help”, he recalled. He also stated that Sayeed sent his daughter Mahbuba Mufti to State Formation meeting in Hyderabad. “Though I cannot make it to the Sayeed’s funeral, Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, along with a team, will represent Telangana government, he stated. He also extended his sympathies to the bereaved family members. (NSS)
