CM to chair state level bankers meet today

The Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy will call upon the Banks to speed up the credit and achieve the target for the year 2012-13 at the State Level Bankers Meeting to be held on June 26, at 11.30 am. The Chief Minister will be the Chief Guest at the 178th SLBC meet to be attended by Ministers, top officials and CEOs of all banks.

The Chief Minister will also discuss with the bankers the position of Educational loans, lending to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and its modified guidelines, Revival, Reform and Restructuring Package for Handloom sector–implementation of Handloom package, relief package for the textile industry, credit flow to Weaker Sections, women and SCs/STs, position of SHG-Bank Linkage Programme for 2012, scheme for financing of women SHGs with the support of Anchor NGOs in LWE (Left Wing Extremist)-affected districts, SHG Bank linkage-interest subvention-Bank-wise performance, State Milk Mission and establishment of pala pragathi kendras (PPKs)-Mini dairies of women SHG members.

The Chief Minister is also slated to discuss in detail, Government of India’s schemes like Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Interest Subsidy on Housing for Urban Poor (ISHUP), Swarnajayanthi Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), Swarna Jayanthi Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY), Differential Rate of Interest (DRI), issues pertaining to APMIP, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture, Handlooms & Textiles, A.P. Backward Classes Cooperative Finance Corporation, A.P. Scheduled Castes Cooperative Finance Corporation, A.P. State Christian Finance Corporation, A.P. Scheduled Tribes Cooperative Finance Corporation, A.P. State Minorities Finance Corporation, APSTEP, SERP and Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA).

The meeting will also discuss performance of Regional Rural Banks on important Parameters, RBI circular on priority Sector Lending – Indirect Finance to Housing Sector, Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs) – Guidelines, Roadmap-Provision of banking services in villages with Population below 2000, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) – revised scheme, NABARD Warehousing Scheme – 2012-13, Agri-clinics and Agribusiness Centres (ACABC) – Continuation of the scheme for the financial year 2012-13 etc.

The Chief Minister will also discuss Bank-wise advances to weaker sections, women, Minorities, educational loans, Bank-wise outstanding SHG advances, State-level district-wise achievement of Bridge loans for housing etc., according to the Chief Minister’s office. (NSS)
