CM to chair Cabinet on Feb 2

Telangana State Cabinet is scheduled to meet on February 2 and will focus on welfare and discuss on budgetary allocations to various departments for 2017-18 fiscal.

According to informed sources, the Cabinet will hold talks on the budgetary allocations to flagship programs with a focus on welfare and development. Ahead of budget session likely from February 15 the state cabinet is holding a key meeting at Secretariat. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will chair the Cabinet which will take stock of the schemes being implemented and feedback from public on development being achieved in various sectors. In the wake of negative implications by cash ban decision on state finances KCR is to strike a balance of sorts by making proper allocations to key sectors.

The Cabinet which is on cloud nine with Bhakt Ramadas lift irrigation project was dedicated to nation by KCR is likely to come up with more allocations to irrigation sector and speed up the existing and ongoing projects. The Cabient will focus on the flagship programs like Harithaharam, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, pensions, Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi and other such programs. (NSS)
