Hyderabad, February 24:Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will be heading for New Delhi on Thursday to brief the High Command over the latest situation in the state.
According to reports, the Chief Minister will meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan singh, In-Charge of AP Affairs M Veerappa Moily, Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmed Patel, Home Minister P Chidambaram and Congress Core Committee member Pranab Mukherjee and brief them over the situation in the state following the massive response to the noncooperation agitation and the subsequent 48-hour bandh.
Sources add that Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy would also finalise the names for 10 Legislative Council seats, which are going to elections during his trip.
Our sources say that the Chief Minister would also inform the High Command over the noncooperation agitation by the Telangana employees and the 48-hour bandh called by Telangana Political Joint Action committee demanding a resolution on Telangana Bill.
He would stress the need for addressing the Telangana issue as the agitation has hit the revenue of state drastically and the state may face financial crisis a decision on the contentious issue is not taken quickly.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy is also expected to discuss the allegations leveled by Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs against Governor E S L Narasimhan. The Congress Legislators have alleged that Mr Narasimhan has been sending wrong reports on the Law and Order situation and have been seeking his recall.
The Chief Minister is also expected to discuss the role Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi plays after the merger with the Congress is finalized.
