CM to attend function at Gadkari’s home

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is to leave for Delhi tonight and is scheduled to attend a marriage party there on Thursday.

On receipt of an invitation from Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to attend the marriage reception of his daughter on Thursday, the Chief Minister is leaving for the national capital. Besides meeting with Modi, KCR will hold talks with other Union ministers and seek their cooperation and help in timely release of funds to the infant State. KCR has sought an appointment from Prime Minister and will discuss with Narendra Modi on the same day and discuss about post-demonetization implications, necessary help to the State in the wake of adverse effect on business and departments that shown reduced income.

Besides seeking some financial assistance to the flagship programs, arrears of funds, if any, under various heads, KCR is to seek Narendra Modi Government for relaxation of FRBM (Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management) limit to enable the State government to opt for more loans for developmental works. He is also likely to apprise the Prime Minister of the steps being taken to encourage cashless transactions across the State through opening bank accounts to those who did not have mainly in villages and towns.   (NSS)
