Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today assured that the agreement reached between the Group of Ministers (GoM) and Telangana employees on Sakala Janula Samme’ will be settled in four or five days. The Chief Minister made this announced in the House when the TRS floor leader Eetla Rejendra demanded to fulfill the assurance given to Telangana employee during the samme by the government.
It may be noted that as per the agreement 42-day ‘Sakala Janula Samme’ organised by Telangans Employees in favour of separate Telangana statehood would be treated as special leave. The issue would be settled shortly, the Chief Minister added. While referring to withdrawing of cases booked against students during Telangana agaitation, the Chief Minister clarified that his government was taking all necessary steps to lift the cases booked against students.
“We have already given directions to the public prosecutor to lift the cases against students as per the act, but it will take time as it has some legal hurdles in it,” Mr Reddy said. Home Minister Savita Indira Reddy said she would made a statement on students cases if the Speaker gave some time. Later, Deputer Speaker Batti Vikramarka announced that the government would give clarification in two-days after having discussion on it. Earlier, main opposition TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu also urged the government to fix time for settlling Sakala Janula Samme agreement and allow students against whom case were registered during the Telangana agitation, to participate in either exams or jobs announcing through Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu.
