Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today asked Industries, Tourism, IT&C and Energy Departments to speed up the projects for which proposals were received during the Partnership Summit-2012.
The Chief Minister earlier held a detailed review meeting on the Proposals received and for majority of which MoUs were signed during the Partnership Summit-2012 with Ministers and officials at Secretariat.
“Think twice where land acquisition is involved and public interest is utmost important simultaneously with industrial development,” the Chief Minister said. An official release here said a total of 243 investments proposals for establishing 265 units were received during the Partnership Summit-2012. The total investment was for Rs 6,49,432.38 crore with an employment potential of 6,78,597. The Officials explained the status, progress and follow up of the projects.
As far as proposals received region-wise are concerned 63 proposals for 75 units with an investment of 1,37,094 crore (21%) and an employment potential of 2,98,813 (44%) are in Telangana, 79 proposals for 85 units of investment 1,00,340 crore (15%) with an employment potential of 1,30,896 (19%) are in Rayalaseema and 101 proposals for 105 units with an investment of 4,11,996 crore (63%) with an employment potential of 2,48,888 (37%) are in Andhra areas.
