Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed the officials concerned to prepare proposals for the funds to be allocated for Minority Welfare in the ensuing Annual Budget of the State.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the Minority Welfare at Pragathi Bhavan here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister wanted more Residential Schools for the Minorities. He wanted the district Collectors to effectively monitor implementation of the Minority Welfare programs and suggested that regular health checkups be conducted in the schools.
The Chief Minister also asked the officials to prepare proposals to encourage Minorities in the field of Information Technology and Industrial sector. The Minorities should also be encouraged to take up contracts.
