CM asks officials to clear pending court cases

Hyderabad, July 17: Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy directed Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao to hold a review meeting on the pending court cases pertaining to land acquisition and compensation matters on the first Saturday of every month. Speaking at a review meeting on the pending court cases of land acquisition and compensation, the Chief Minister asked the Government pleader to speed up the cases. He wanted the Government pleader to coordinate with the Advocate General and try to clear about 4,056 acquisition and compensation cases which have been pending. He also appreciated the irrigation department for clearing all the land acquisition cases under the Consent award.

CCLA Special Commissioner CR Biswal, Revenue Minister D.Prasada Rao, Revenue Principal Secretary Rajeswar Tiwari, Housing Principal Secretary T Samuel, Social Welfare Principal Secretary V Nagireddy, Finance Secretary SS Rawat, Government Pleader (LA) Krishna Murthy and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
