CM asks officials to announce DSC results by Oct. 7 to fill 30,000 Teacher Posts

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today directed officials to announce the results of DSC and Model School Teacher posts by October 7 and take immediate steps for filling some 30,000 teacher posts within one month.

It may be mentioned here that a Notification was issued on January 30 this year to fill 21,343 posts of various categories of teachers in the State and 7,100 posts of principals, PGTs and TGTs. Applications have been received from eligible candidates online from February 16 to 20. Later, Teachers’ Recruitment Test, DSC 2012 Examinations were conducted on August 26, 27 and 28.

Following the notification, 3,35,004 candidates had applied for 6007 posts of school assistants, 36,065 candidates for 2,144 posts of language pandits, 10,303 filed applications for 409 posts of physical education teachers, 41,716 candidates for 12,772 posts of SGT and 23 applications were received for 11 special schools. At present, post examination work is in progress. The DSC results are proposed to be announced on October 7.

DETAILS OF MODEL SCHOOL TEACHERS

Similarly, a notification for recruitment of Principals, PGTs and TGTs was given on February 6 and written tests were conducted in May. While 2,548 candidates applied for posts of 355 principals, 45,970 filed applications for 4,615 posts of PGTs and 34,278 persons applied for 2,130 posts of TGTs.
While the results for the posts of PGTs and TGTs will be declared on October 7, those for the post of Principals will be declared after conducting interviews.

It may be recalled that the State government granted permission for Direct Recruitment of Government posts of 1,25,134 this year, which is the highest number in the history of the State as the total Government cadre strength is only 10 lakhs. Out of these, 48,730 posts were newly created for the unemployed youth.
Details of the Government jobs recruitments are as follows: Clearances given to Recruiting Agencies — 1,18,620. APPSC – 15,674, Police Recruitment Board – 24,634, District Selection Committee – 41,268 and Departmental Selection Committees – 36,099. Total vacancies notified so far – 95,073 and vacancies yet to be notified – 23,547. (NSS)
