Giving a call to companies being established in Hyderabad and other Telangana districts to give jobs to the students of the region, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today vowed to provide all support to the former for rapid development.
Inaugurating a new plant of Mahindra & Mahindra company at Zaheerabad in Medak district here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister drove a four-wheeler on the occasion. Offering to slash VAT by 5 per cent for Mahindra and Mahindra Company, KCR said his government will keep all the promises ignored by the previous Seemandhra Chief Ministers. “The TRS achieved statehood only through a protracted struggle for 14 years and now we have to provide jobs to the students of Telangana region”, he said.
Taking a dig at the previous governments for ignoring plight of the region, KCR attributed the pathetic conditions to the deliberate attempts and negligence of then chief ministers. “Now we have got our own State and will have to provide jobs to our students and youth”, he said and asked the companies to establish more units and provide jobs to unemployed youth.
Various companies, including Samsung, have offered to invest $100 million in Telangana State, he said, adding MNCs and those of international importance are making a beeline to set up their businesses in the State.
