CM asks arrang foolproof, tightest security for Ganesh Festival

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy today asked the police to arrange a foolproof and tightest security for the Genesh Festival in the city slated to be held on September 19. The Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements with the Police and other top officials at Secretariat here, an official release said. He asked the officials to publicise route map of the Ganesh idols procession at least a week in advance so that public are well aware of the traffic diversions. Chief Minister assured to look in to the matter of providing compensation to the families of those who lost their lives during the Ganesh immersions earlier. The Chief Minister sought the cooperation of the citizens in general and the people connected with the immersion festival in particular to see that peace and order prevailed during the festival. The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the communal harmony and said the peace-loving people of the city should ensure smooth conduct of the festival. More UNI
