Hydeabad, July 21: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today while strongly condemning the lathicharge on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu and its legislators at Dharmabad in Mahararashtra has urged the people to restrain from damaging public properties in the state.
Chief Minister Rosaiah wondered whether it was right on a part of certain sections to destroy public properties in Andhra Pradesh in the aftermath of the Maharashtra incident on TDP persons.
”Afterall, public property is peoples property. Whom does it benefit if you destroy our own properties. In the end it is people (of the state) are only put at loss”, the Chief Minister said in a staement here.
”That is the reason that a sensitive issue like Babli and on sensitive inter-state issues we should show restrain,” he said.
Chief Minister Rosaiah said Prime Minister has fixed an appointment on July 23 for an all-party delegation so that the state’s case on the controversial Babli project could be put forward forcefully and effectively for a solution in a democratic manner.
The Chief Minsiter has appealed to all political parties, sections and groups to come forward and assess the state in its unrelented fight to protest Andhra Pradesh rights on the Babli project in a amicable manner.
