Chief Minster K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to answer questions himself regarding Minority Affairs in Legislative Assembly and Council as the chief Minister holds the Minority Welfare portfolio while Mohammed Mahmood Ali who represents minority in the cabinet has been given the portfolio of Revenue Ministry besides the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
Generally with the beginning of Assembly session Chief Minister distributes portfolios held by him among other ministers so that they give answers to the questions raised in the assembly. During the earlier two assembly sessions Chief Minister had allotted the portfolio of Minority Welfare to Mahmood Ali till the assembly session but this time even two days after the assembly session began, the additional portfolios have not been allotted to ministers. It is said that keeping in view the criticism by apposition against government’s performance during 9 months period Chief Minister has preferred to keep the portfolio with himself.
