(Siasat News) In a meeting of Congress Legislative Party, Poonam Prabhakar, M.P. indulged in heated arguments with C.M. He alleged that the C.M. is letting down Telangana leaders. He also demanded that 42% amounts should be allocated for the development of Telangana and also for the completion of irrigation projects in the Telangana area. He blamed the C.M., for sending anti-Telangana reports to congress High Command. He is appeasing the person who have become rebellious whereas those who are struggling for the cause of Telangana had to go to prison. He told that he would not turn rebellious against Congress. He will continue to struggle for Telangana while remaining in Congress. Intervening his speech, Congress president told the members not to convert the Congress legislative party meeting into a political platform. They can express their regional feelings at some other place. G. Venkat Reddy boycotted the meeting.
The meeting was attended by 9 M.P.’s, 125 MLA’s and 30 MLC’s. A resolution was moved for the merger of Praja Rajyam Party into Congress which was unanimously accepted. This resolution was moved by Mr. Jagadishwar, MLC. C.M. claimed that the is not opposed to Telangana but he is bound by center. He contradicted the rumours between him and the Dy. C.M. which were spread by media. He said that YSR Congress party is also a rival part like TDP. Disciplinary action will soon be taken against congress MLA’s who joined YSR congress party. He told the party workers to work unitedly to fill up the seats falling vacant due to the resignations of 24 MLA’s. He told the members that representation has been made for allocation of more funds by the center.
C.M. advised the congress legislators to attend the budget session of the Assembly regulary.
