C.M. and Jaipal Reddy collide on gas issue

(Siasat News)On the issue of allotment of natural gas energy projects of A.P., Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy and Mr. Jaipal Reddy seem to collide with each other.

C.M has written a letter to Central Govt. demanding the gas allotments for Nidanur and Shankerpally in Telangana Region.

It may be noted that earlier, Govt. of India had allotted natural gas to Ratnagiri Power Project of Maharastras State. C.M. represented against this injustice done to A.P. State to the P.M. Canceling the Maharastra quota, gas was allotted to A.P. The final decision would be taken in the cabinet sub-committee meeting.

Meanwhile, Telangana leaders started criticizing against C.M. that he is neglecting the energy projects of Telangana. C.M. was being targeted for not making nay representing the gas allotments for Nidanur and Shakerpally projects of Telangana Region.

In order to save himself from these criticisms, C.M. decided to represent to the central Govt. once again.

Sources in the office of the Chief Minister told that C.M. has written a letter to P.M. saying that if natural gas is allotted Nidanur and Shankerpally power projects in Telangana, industrial development in the region would be accelerated.

A.P. Genco had submitted proposals earlier for starting these projects but they could not be taken up for want of natural gas supply.

It is said that C.M. had drawn the attention of the Govt. of India earlier also. He once again invited the attention of Mr. Jaipal Reddy by writing a letter.

Meanwhile, TRS staged dharna programme demanding gas supply to Nidanur (Karimnagar) and Shankerpally (Ranga Reddy District). TS floor leader, Mr. E.Rajender and TRS MLA Mr. Tarak Rama Rao participated in dharna programme. They alleged that Mr. Kiran Kuamr Reddy has no interest in Telangana energy projects. He had represented for the gas allotments to Nidanur and Shakerpally project of Telangana Region.
