Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy approved the proposal to enhance the government share on Bus Passes to its employees working in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Warangal, due to recent revision of tariff by APSRTC. Approximately, 43,386 NGOs are benefited. The additional financial implication on the exchequer will be Rs 1.82 crore per annum.
It may be mentioned here that the APSRTC is issuing monthly Bus Passes to the employees (Non Gazetted Officers) of the State government working in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Warangal (including Kazipet and Hanamkonda). The cost of the Bus Pass is shared at 1:2 ratio between the employee and State government. Recently, the APSRTC has revised the tariff, including Monthly Bus Passes.
The Chief Minister also approved proposals to fill 50 per cent of vacant posts of all categories in the libraries of the State. The posts include librarians, assistant librarians and so on.
