The Congress Legislature Party on Friday asked YSR Congress party honorary president YS Vijayamma to clarify on the allegations of corruption being faced by Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy before Sharmila begins her padayatra from October 18.
Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party here, Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy and Congress Whip in Legislative Council Rudraraju Padmaraju said that Vijayamma should speak out about the allegations being faced by her son before going to the public. They asked the YSRCP to also clarify as to what they plan to achieve by conducting padayatra.
Vanktaramana Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam Party and YSRCP have entered into a secret understanding to divert the attention of people by conducting padayatras. He also challenged Vijayamma to introduce a No Confidence Motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy Government. He said that not only the motion would be defeated, but the Congress Government would emerge stronger.
Speaking about TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, the CLP leaders advised him to take care of his health and spend time with the family. They said Naidu was damaging his health by conducting an unnecessary padayatra. They said that Naidu has failed to play the role of a responsible Leader of the Opposition and focused his entire energies on criticising the Congress government.
The CLP leaders claimed that people in the State were happy with the performance of the State Government and they would never get carried away by the false propaganda being carried out by the opposition parties.
