CLP refutes Peddireddi’s allegations against CM

The Congress Legislature Party on Thursday slammed Punganur MLA Peddireddi Ramchandra Reddy for leveling “baseless allegations” against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Talking to reporters here, Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy said that when Kiran Kumar Reddy was made the Chief Minister the State was facing several problems of different nature. However, he said with great efficient Kiran Kumar Reddy not only resolved those issues, but also introduce several new schemes for the welfare of the people. He said suspecting Kiran Kumar Reddy’s efficiency was equivalent to questioning the leadership of Congress president Sonia Gandhi who chose him for the Chief Minister’s post.

Venkataramana Reddy said that Peddireddi should have raised the issue in the party forum instead of criticising the Chief Minister in the media after giving resignation from the MLA’s post. He said that he party High Command would take appropriate action in this regard.

Meanwhile, Kamalapuram MLA Veerasiva Reddy refuted the allegations leveled by Peddireddi against the Chief Minister. In a separate press conference, Veerasiva Reddy challenged the Punganur MLA to prove his charges that Kiran’s brother Kishore Reddy had nexus with the Red Sander’s mafia.

Veerasiva Reddy said that if the Chief Minister was stalling development in his constituency then he should have approached the Congress High Command with proofs. Accusing Peddireddy of trying to blackmail the Congress party, he said the Punganur MLA had close relations with the YSR family and was trying to find an opportunity to join the YSR Congress party.
