CLP demands CM’s explanation for early polls move

Hyderabad: Demanding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to explain why he was abolishing the Assembly, CLP leader K Jana Reddy said KCR was going for early elections as he failed to fulfill his assurances and before anti-incumbency increased among the people.

Speaking to the media at Assembly here on Wednesday, Jana Reddy said the political parties would be ready whenever elections come. Condemning the arrest of revolutionary writer P Varavara Rao, Jana Reddy said the arrest of Varavara Rao was nothing but destroying democratic rights. “Varavara Rao was a great humanist. Varavara Rao played a great role during the deliberations between the Maoists and the State government.

It was atrocious on the part of police to arrest Varavara Rao alleging that he hatched a conspiracy to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi”. Jana Reddy demanded that the Centre order an inquiry into the issue with the Supreme Court judge to bring the facts to the light.

Alleging that the State and Central governments were trying to kill democracy, Jana Reddy said the arrest of Varavara Rao on the cooked up charge of hatching conspiracy was atrocious. He condemned the State and Central governments to try to suppress democratic voices. Stating that the Central government was escaping from giving an answer on Rafale War flights purchase in the name of secret pact, Jana Reddy questioned the Centre to tell the reason behind handing over the purchase of Rafale War Flights to Reliance Company. He said hiding the price of Rafale War Flights was an indication for the scam.
