Rajya Sabha MP V. Hanumantha Rao said that the Congress Legislature Party, in its meeting to be held on Saturday, will take a decision on whether or not to contest the ensuing Rajya Sabha elections.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, VHR said that he was under pressure from several groups to contest the Rajya Sabha elections. However, he said that the final decision would be taken during the CLP meeting. He said that TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has already recommended to Congress High Command that he must be fielded as Congress candidate for RS polls. As a loyal Congress worker, he said he would abide by the decision to be taken by the Congress High Command. (INN)
