Close call for abusive call centre staff

Hyderabad, April 10: Acouple of call centre executives of Tej point Service centre limited reportedly abused Minister for Backward classes Mukesh Goud after he declined to hear their spiel today.

But the minister’s aides traced the call and produced the erring executives before him.

It all began when the call centre staff, unaware that they had called up a minister, started reeling off details about the services on offer. Goud told them he was preoccupied with official work, but they insisted that he hear them out. “Mukesh Goud then informed them he was a minister. But they just quipped `so what’ and went on with their presentation…” police said.

Annoyed, the minister called in his aides who traced the incoming number to the call centre at Lal Bangla, Ameerpet, and brought the matter to the notice of Vivek chopra, the owner of the centre. “Meanwhile, the executives were produced before Mukesh Goud. after they pleaded forgiveness, the minister let them go,” sources said.

However, when contacted, both SR Nagar and punjagutta police were tight-lipped about the incident.
