Clinton flying to N Korea for jailed reporters

Washington, August 04: US former president Bill Clinton is bound for North Korea with the intention of negotiating for the release of two American journalists held since March in the reclusive communist state, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported Tuesday.

Clinton is already aboard a flight for Pyongyan, Yonhap reported.

There was no information about Clinton’s arrival time in North Korea or confirmation of the mission from the US government in Washington.

Clinton is the husband of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was scheduled to arrive Tuesday in Nairobi, Kenya.
