K T Ramachandra, aged 54, was a clerk with the Department of Prosecution, hanged himself at his residence in Sampige Layout on Saturday morning.
The incident became known when Ramachandra’s wife saw him hanging from the window railings of the bathroom. She informed the neighbours who rushed him to a nearby private hospital but he was declared brought dead.
The suicide note point the finger at his son-in-law Bhairappa for the extreme step.
According to the police, Bhairappa was harassing his wife, and recently he had sent her to her parents’ house. Depressed over this, Ramachandra ended his life.
Bhairappa was arrested by the Vijayanagar police and a case of abetment to suicide has been registered.
