Patna, September 14: Unidentified gunmen kidnapped a class I student in the heart of Patna city on Monday morning.
According to police, eight-year-old Shreyas Shrivastav was going to school along with 11 others in an auto-rickshaw. When the vehicle reached near Maurya Hotel, three motorcycle-borne men stopped the auto-rickshaw and took away Shreyas at gunpoint.
It looked like a well planned kidnapping as the criminals kept tabs on Shreyas’s movement all through. They knew when they should strike, the police said.
The boy’s father is a regional manager with a pharmaceutical company. It was suspected that he could have been kidnapped for ransom. However, the kidnappers were yet to make any demand. The police were interrogating the auto-rickshaw driver.
