Johannesburg, Nov.19 : Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke has hit back at the criticism he received from his team mates after announcing his retirement from international cricket.
In his new book ‘Ashes Diary 2015’, the 34-year-old slammed his former team-mate Andrew Symonds , who publically questioned Clarke’s leadership. He said that the all-rounder was no one to judge him on leadership,Sport24 reported.
Opening batsman Matthew Hayden had also criticized Clarke for disrespecting his baggy green.
Lashing out at Hayden’s claims, Clarke said that he had shown over the years how much he valued his 389 baggy green.
Clarke scored 8,643 runs in 115 Tests and retired from international cricket after the fifth and final Ashes Test against England at The Oval. (ANI)
