Hyderabad Metro Rail project MD NVS Reddy today said an All Party meeting will take a final call on Metro Rail alignment changes.
Talking to mediapersons here, NVS Reddy said they could get clarity on alignment changes only after the proposed all-party meeting.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had promised to conduct an all-party meeting to finalise the alignment changes for metro rail in three places of Koti, Assembly and Old City. Recently the Chief Minister had directed the officials to take up alignment works to ensure safety of historical structures and monuments in the City. The government also issued a GO in this regard.
The HMR MD maintained that the works of Metro Rail project are going on fast pace and will be completed in the stipulated time. He said there was no iota of truth in the reports that a recruitment drive for Metro Rail was going on. “Any statements about jobs in the Metro Rail are not correct”, he said, adding some confidence tricksters might be deceiving innocent youths procuring jobs in the Metro Rail project.. The vacant posts will be filled only through campus recruitment, he added. (NSS)
