CJ inaugurates three CBI Special Courts

High Court Chief Justice Madan Bhimrao Lokur on Monday advocated the need for speedy trial and judgment in the corruption-related cases in the State.

Talking to reporters after inaugurating three Special Courts, to hear Central Bureau of Investigation cases, set up on the 12th and 13th floor of Gagan Vihar at Exhibition Roads, Chief Justice Lokur said that speedy trial of corruption cases would prove crucial in eradicating the menace. He hoped that the investigation agency, accused and the society in general would benefit from the special courts.

The Chief Justice also announced that a Special CBI Court would be set up in Visakhapatnam soon.

The judges for the new CBI courts would be Justice P Rama Rao, Justice Naga Murthy Sharma and Justice Ramana Naidu.

Many judges of the State High Court, officials of the judiciary department and CBI DIG VV Lakshminarayana were also present. (INN)
