Srinagar, January 15: With infiltration bids along the Indo-Pak border on the rise, authorities in the district today imposed restrictions on movement of people in an area adjacent the international border up to a distance of one km.
Jammu district magistrate MK Dwivedi said the restrictions will remain in force from 10 pm till 5 am.
The step has been taken in view of apprehensions of infiltration and smuggling of weapons.
However, under exceptional circumstances, people will have to take the permission of the police, BSF or army for movment along the border.
