Civil Liberties expressed solidarity with Prof. Sai Baba

The Activists of Human Rights are being harassed in prisons also. Civil Liberties expressed its solidarity with Prof. Sai Baba who is on hunger strike for the past four days. He has been arrested unauthorizedly. CLP demanded his immediate release. The committee has also decided to launch a protest program for his release. The leaders of CLP told that Prof. Sai Baba belongs to East Godavari. He is a handicapped person right from his childhood due to polio. He worked hard for getting education and sought appointment as Asst. Professor at Delhi University. He has been arrested under various charges and kept in Nagpur prison. His bail petition is also not being considered due to police intervention. On account of his ill heath, he has to used 15 varieties of medicines. Due to lack of care, his health is getting deteriorated day by day. Against the attitude of the police officials and Jail authorities, he had started hunger strike.
