Hyderabad: As part of its campaign, ‘Unite Families, Divide Waste,’ Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Wednesday organised a special programme during which it reunited 148 warring couples who got separated due to domestic issues.
The Urban Community Development (UCD) wing of the GHMC identified the men and women who were living separately since the past few years. Its officials contacted them and counselled for nearly one month before bringing them on a platform. 148 couples agreed for reconciliation.
GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy, Hyderabad police Commissioner Mahender Reddy and other senior officials also participated in the programme.
The couples were presented with clothes sponsored by State Bank of Hyderabad and two dustbins each.
