Srinagar, March 07: Elections to civic bodies in Jammu and Kashmir will be completed by mid-May this year, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said today.
All steps will be taken to ensure free and fair polls to the civic bodies, he told reporters here.
The five-year term of Municipal Corporations of Srinagar and Jammu, six Municipal Councils and 71 Municipal Committees ended Saturday.
No dates have yet been announced for the elections.
