Commissioner Police M Mahender Reddy on Thursday imposed prohibitory orders in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The Commissioner imposed ban on holding any kind of public meetings and processions within Hyderabad city without obtaining prior permission of Zonal DCP, Law and Order concerned, ACP, Law and Order, or Joint Commissioner of Police, Coordination & Security, or Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. These prohibitory orders will be in force with effect from 6 am on June 26 to 6 Am on July 2.
The Commissioner also prohibited gathering of persons on public roads or public places, disturbing peace and order or causing inconvenience, annoyance or danger to public.
Carrying of arms such as swords, spears, knives, sticks with or without flags, bludgeons, guns, explosives and other offensive weapons is also prohibited.
There will be ban on processions around the Secretariat premises, including Burgula Rama Krishna Rao Building, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation building, Commissioner of Fisheries building, Mint Compound, Nizam College and its surroundings, A P Legislative Assembly premises and surrounding roads, Public Garden Nampally, Upper Tank Bund, I–MAX, Rotary and NTR Marg roads and also the flyover leading from Secretariat to Visweswarayya statue, Khairatabad.
Music, singing or speeches or broadcasting through loudspeakers in the above mentioned areas are also prohibited. Mahender Reddy said any person violating the above orders would be liable for prosecution under the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348, Fasli (No. IX).
