City presents a near deserted look

The main thoroughfares of the city today presented a near deserted look, as a holiday was declared to all the Government offices, private firms and other establishments, in view of the polling that took place in the ten Telangana districts.
In view of the holiday declared, and as many of the RTC buses were deployed on election work, only skeleton services were operated in the city, and only a few auto rickshaws were seen on the roads. The areas like Dilsukhnagar, Malakpet, Koti, Nampally, Uppal, RTC cross roads, Khairatabad, Panjagtta, Ameerpet, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Secundedrabad , which were usually over-crowded, presented a near deserted look today. People in groups were seen near the polling stations in different colonies. (NSS)
