City Police proposes Rs. 2000 fine for not wearing helmets

Hyderabad: City Police of Hyderabad had decided to impose a fine of Rs. 2000 to bike drivers who do not use helmets. It also proposes to taken stern action to those driving who drive vehicles in drunken condition. Those who cross red light signals or talking on cell phones while driving will get their driginv licenses cancelled.

Mr. A.V. Ranganatha Rao, DCP (Traffic) told yesterday at Gosha Mahal Police Station that Hyderabad High Court ordered to wear helmets. He also told that awareness campaign was organized for 4 months. These proposals have been sent to Govt. for its approval.
