(Siasat News) Syed Zabeehuddin Ansari alias Abu Hamza alias Abu Jundal’s arrest is revealing new information everyday. After his arrest, Maharashtra A.T.S., M.P., Karnataka and A.P. Police have come into action. Especially, for Hyderabad City police, his arrest has provided a new topic for discussion. City police is trying to find out the details of his visit to Hyderabad as SIMI (Student’s Islamic Movement) activists In the past, persons associated with SIMI were interrogated. At that time, they had mentioned Zabeehuddin Ansari’s name vaguely and cursorily. Police is of the opinion that the influence of SIMI was increasing in the city in the past. Some SIMI activists are of the opinion that Zabeehuddin is a well determined person, whereas the others are of the view that he can attract people easily with his comprehensive speech. Police hopes that by interrogating him, many facts will be exposed. Police claims that his arrest is an important clue in resolving the attacks of 26/11. It is also claiming that Ansari in the conversation he had in the control room of Laskar-e-Tayyaba in Karachi, had mentioned Tolichowki area of Hyderabad. In connection with the terrorists attacks in Mumbai and on giving the reference of Tolichowki, Hyderabad city police got alert.
It is alleged that Ansari had instructed the suspected terrorists of Mumbai to conceal them as the activists of “Indian Mujahedeen” belonging to Tolichowki area of Hyderabad.
The references of Toli Chowki and Hyderabad have made Hyderabad city police impatient. A special team of police will tour Delhi very soon but it seems that Delhi police would take him into its custody for interrogation.
It has also come to notice that Abu Jundal’s name is not found in the records of Hyderabad police. By mentioning the name of Tolichowki it is being presumed that he must have toured Hyderabad as SIMI activist. A senior police officer revealed that the name of Indian Mujahedeen was flashed only to mislead investigations but the reference of Tolichowki is worth considering. Police hopes that by interrogating Ansari, it would get some important information.
A few years back one Mr. Mujeeb was arrested from Tolichowki area. He had claimed to be the Chief of Indian Mujahedeen. He had also declared himself as the commander of Hizbul Mujahedeen. On interrogations from Ansari, Hyderabad City police expects to get some more information about the Hyderabadi activists who are hiding in the Middle East.
On the other hand, the activists of Human Rights Committee opine that many a time, the claims of police prove to be false at a later stage.
