City Haj pilgrim dies in Holy Mecca

A Haj pilgrim from Hyderabad passed away in the early hours of Thursday in Makkah Mukarramah, KSA.

The pilgrim, Mohammed Iqbal, 63, had gone on Haj pilgrimage along with his son Ali Baba and daughter in law on 4th October and was scheduled to return back on November 8. However, he fell ill after the Haj was over and was admitted in the hospital on the complaint of kidney problem, where he went in coma and since then he was undergoing treatment there. His daughter in-law returned back to Hyderabad on November 8 as per schedule while his son stayed back in Makkah to attend to his ailing father, but on the advice of the Indian Haj Mission and Counsul General of India Jeddah he also returned back on November 15.

The AP State Haj Committee arranged for his Visit Visa and he again went to Makkah to attend to his father. He reached on Wednesday only and the Haj pilgrim passed away at 1:00 AM (KSA Time). Due to the efforts of the State Haj Committee he was able to visit Makkah and Namaz-e-Janaza was performed after Maghrib prayers on Thursday in Haram-e-Sharif while burial took place in the graveyard of Makkah.

Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Ahmadullah, Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Executive Officer Abdul Hameed and staff members of the AP State Haj Committee condoled the death of the Haji and expressed their sympathies to the bereaved family. (INN)
