The Metropolitan Sessions Judge at Nampally criminal courts has cancelled the bail granted to infamous pahelwan of old city Hamza Bin Omer aka Zafar Pahelwan in a murder case of rowdy sheeter that took place in a Gym.
The judge directed the pahelwan to surrender him to the Chanchalguda jail authorities forewith. But citing health reasons Zafar pahelwan has sought two days time to surrender.
The judge in his order directed the accused to sign the attendance register at Kanchanbagh police station on alternate day. The sources said that Pahelwan was irregular in registering his at the police station. “We have approached the Sessions court and sought the cancellation of bail as he flouted the conditions imposed by the court” Assistant Commissioner of Police Santoshnagar S Sai Krishna said.
On March 19 History-sheeter, Ahmed Ali Khan aka Ilyas, was hacked to death while working out at Gods power gym in Santoshnagar area under Kanchanbagh Police station limits. The police in March arrested the accused No1 Zafar pahelwan on the alleged charges that he masterminded the killing with the help of his family members and other followers.
There are fourteen accused involved in the case out of which seven have accused namely Mohammed Bin Abdullah alias Chota Mohammed, Rashed Bin Abdullah, Wadood Bin Abdullah, Mohammed Sabir Ali and Mohammed Imranuddin also obtained bails earlier, while two more accused are still absconding. However the Kanchanbagh police are yet to file the charge sheet in the case as the FSL reports are awaited.
According to the family sources Pahelwan is likely to approach High court to appeal against the sessions court’s order.
On one occasion the south zone police raided the residence of Zafar Pahelwan and seized Rs. 74 lakh and 28 bullets.
